Bude, Where To Skate
The first area to check out would be the library. Although there is not much to skate there is usually a lot of skaters there. It is basically a small car park with a couple of waxed curbs, few little airs and manuals.
Throughout the town there are a number of planters. Ranging from knee height upwards, they are rarely skated due to hassle from the filth/public. Also in the centre of town there is a nice doubleset of stairs (3/2) outside the bristol and west building aswell as various walls/rails to pop over.
The main spot used to be the high school/leisure complex area. There is lots of waxy benches, a set of three, and various other bits & pieces. Unfortunately you can't skate here due to the place burning down (although you can skate here if you jump fences & dodge security). It shouldn't be like this for long though.
In the bencoolen park there are some blocks of varying heights. These would be rad if the ground wasn't so rough. There used to be a mini ramp by the swimming pool but it got taken away so they could build a bowling alley (great).
This means that there might(?) be a new park being built soon. Bude is not very far from a number of skate facilities ie Mt Hawke, FSB plymouth etc. If you want to come skate bude, go to the Airculture shop (buy something) and you might get to meet some of the (ahem) friendly skaters (don't forget to ask about the latest SUB C-Y product).
